Swiss band Coilguns is releasing their fourth album Odd Love on November 22, 2024, featuring the explosive new single “Generic Skincare,” and showcasing their signature mix of post-hardcore, punk, and noise-rock, recorded in Norway with top producers and set to be performed at major festivals.

Swiss band Coilguns is set to release their highly anticipated fourth album, Odd Love, on November 22, 2024, through Humus Records. Known for their fierce mix of punk and noise-rock, Coilguns recorded the album at the legendary Ocean Sounds studio in Norway, with Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Thrice) behind the controls. The record was mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety (The Pixies, Ghost) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (Liam Gallagher, The Gaslight Anthem). Fans can pre-order the album on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.

Ahead of the album release, Coilguns has dropped their latest single, "Generic Skincare," a fiery post-hardcore track that shows the band's signature intensity. The song blends pounding drums, driving guitars, and bold synths with a fresh approach to their sound, creating a standout anthem for the album. The music video for "Generic Skincare," directed by Raphaël Piguet, is available on YouTube and all major streaming platforms.

Odd Love is a personal project for the band, written during the COVID lockdown in 2020. Guitarist and band founder Jona Nido initially crafted 14 demos before the rest of the band joined to refine and rework the tracks over time. They later headed to Norway to record the final version of the album with Evans, taking full advantage of his experience with live band dynamics.

Coilguns is known for their raw and energetic live shows, and they’ll be performing at upcoming festivals, including Soulcrusher Festival in the Netherlands and Desert Fest in Belgium. Fans of Refused, At The Drive-In, and The Mars Volta will find much to love in the band's new material, which maintains their aggressive energy while exploring new sonic territory.

Coilguns are masters of blending raw energy with intricate soundscapes, delivering a relentless mix of post-hardcore, punk, and noise-rock that keeps you on edge. Their fearless approach to breaking conventions makes them a standout for fans seeking both intensity and innovation. Keep an eye out for Odd Love this November, and don’t miss Coilguns as they continue to push the boundaries of post-hardcore.
