Swiss band Coilguns is set to release their highly anticipated fourth album, Odd Love, on November 22, 2024, through Humus Records. Known for their fierce mix of punk and noise-rock, Coilguns recorded the album at the legendary Ocean Sounds studio in Norway, with Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Thrice) behind the controls. The record was mixed by Grammy-nominated producer Tom Dalgety (The Pixies, Ghost) and mastered by Robin Schmidt (Liam Gallagher, The Gaslight Anthem). Odd Love is a personal project for the band, written during the COVID lockdown in 2020. Guitarist and band founder Jona Nido initially crafted 14 demos before the rest of the band joined to refine and rework the tracks over time. They later headed to Norway to record the final version of the album with Evans, taking full advantage of his experience with live band dynamics.
