Johnny Nasty Boots blends vintage psychedelic rock with a bold modern sound on his new single Lovers (On the Road), setting the stage for a global tour and upcoming EP Self Portrait.

Johnny Nasty Boots, a rock musician and producer based in Los Angeles, has just released a new single called Lovers (On the Road). Originally from Mexico City, Johnny is known for blending classic rock influences with a fresh, modern sound. His newest song mixes gritty guitar fuzz and spacey, psychedelic tones. It's a loud and powerful track that shows his love for the rock and roll lifestyle. The song was mixed by Alain Johannes, who has worked with Queens of the Stone Age, and recorded by Grammy-winning engineer Mark Rains at Echo Park.

Lovers (On the Road) is a sneak peek of Johnny’s next EP, Self Portrait, which is planned for release in summer 2025. His music takes inspiration from the bluesy, psychedelic rock of the 1960s and 70s, while adding a bold and current feel.

Johnny had a strong year in 2024. He was part of the 60th anniversary celebration of the famous rock venue Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, where he played with the band Strawberry Alarm Clock. He also toured the U.S. as the opening act for Faster Pussycat’s 30+ show tour. On top of that, he performed in Argentina for the first time and is set to open for the heavy rock band Pentagram at Whisky A Go-Go in early 2025.

Looking ahead, Johnny is getting ready for his first tour in Europe. He’ll be opening for Corky Laing of the classic rock band Mountain in May. Later this year, he will also play shows in Canada and Japan.

Johnny Nasty Boots is an exciting artist in the modern rock world. His music connects the past and present in a way that feels raw and alive. If you enjoy fuzzed-out guitars, bold rhythms, and music that honors the roots of rock while pushing forward, Johnny is an artist to keep an eye on.
