Ancestral Sin’s Next of Sin is a fast, aggressive hardcore EP that delivers intense music with a strong social message.

Dutch hardcore band Ancestral Sin is back with a powerful new EP called Next of Sin. It’s available now on 10” vinyl from the band and Oblivion Records. Fans can also listen to it on CD and digital platforms.

Ancestral Sin started making music in 1989. By 1996, they had already released several albums, demos, and split records. After taking a long break, they returned in 2018 with new energy and a new drummer, Ragnar, who also plays in My Minds Mine and Inhume. In 2022, they released Social Hate Speech, a 16-song album that showed they still had their aggressive and bold sound. Now, with Next of Sin, the band gives fans four new tracks that mix hardcore, thrashcore, and punk. The music is loud, fast, and chaotic. Each song is packed with sharp guitar riffs, pounding drums, and intense vocals. The songs are short, but they hit hard. The band says listeners should expect “a speedy kick in the face until the very last second.”

The name Next of Sin refers to how people continue to repeat mistakes and ignore chances to grow as a society. The lyrics talk about serious topics like unfair treatment, war, and the way humans often fail to learn from history. These are not happy songs—they’re angry and direct, with a message that matches the music's strength. Ancestral Sin continues to push the hardcore genre forward with their raw and aggressive style. They do not hold back, and they clearly have something to say. For fans of grinding, fast-paced hardcore, Next of Sin is worth checking out.

The band’s return shows they still care about the music and the message. Even after all these years, they sound fresh, focused, and completely locked into the energy of their genre. Ancestral Sin proves that real hardcore can still be meaningful and heavy at the same time.
