The Pittsburgh crew are set to unveil new EP Kraken at The Seams on January 17.

Pitter Patter have unveiled their new single, "Bandages". The weighty alt rock anthem brings driving guitars and elements of heavy, unfiltered emo.

The track, which marks the Pittsburgh quartet's final stop before their upcoming EP, looks at the difficulty of ripping yourself out of a rut, and the behavioural change required to make a shift for the better. Kraken at The Seams is out January 17th.

Seth Berkin explains: "Bandages is a song about falling into the same patterns or bad habits and not being able to rip yourself away from their grip. This song represents the harsh realities of being unable to stop yourself from doing something you know is wrong, and how doing the same things repetitively but expecting new results is the definition of insanity. Pittsburgh quartet Pitter Patter broke onto the scene with 2022 single “treehouse”. The track would go on to take it’s place on the band’s debut album Naturally Selected, the following fall with the rookie collection displaying a sharp and hook-laden brand of modern alternative. The record nods to likes of Young Culture, Between You & Me and Old Neon, with Pitter Patter shading their poignant and - at times - dark lyricism with a sunny pop sensibility and infectious instrumental interplay.

Late 2024 saw began the build towards the the release of Pitter Patter's imminent album, Kraken at The Seams. Midwest emo leaning “Oh Possum!” would kick off the cycle, honing twinkly guitars and frank lyricism as a backdrop of relatable musings on modern life.

With "Bandages", Pitter Patter show both their dexterity and sonic range. The new single brings an urgency and potency not previously seen in the Pennsylvania outfit's work, as they explore the heavier end of alternative rock. Kraken at The Seams is out January 17th.
