The Louisiana indie/alternative rock crew channel their emo influences on compelling new full-length

Louisiana quartet Inside Voices have unveiled their compelling sophomore full-length, If It Matters.

Taking influence from bands such as Delta Sleep, Citizen and A Great Big Pile of Leaves, the new collection output combines math rock inspired riffs, introspective emo tones & deft injections of melody.

Debut full-length Consecutive Normal Songs saw the light of day in 2018 and gave an early indicator as to the Northeast Louisiana crew's intentions. A raw, emotive rookie offering with punk tendencies perforating Inside Voices' smooth hooks.

Lockdown busting Liminal Space would follow three years later. The EP showcased a creative spark a vulnerability befitting of a collection crafted during the 21st century’s most worrisome time.

Consistent shows and short tours have bolstered Inside Voices' stock across Louisiana and the South; the band's high energy offers the perfect foil for their intense riffs and contemplative lyricism.

New album If It Matters is a record culminating a decade of growth. Whether it be the jagged guitars of album opener "The Desire", the swooning hooks of "Way Back to Myself" or the thought-provoking emo of "Way Out From Here", the Louisiana group steer a bold sonic navigation. Mathy riffs and glistening melodies take center stage. But it's the band's fluidity and deft cohesion that bring their stellar songwriting to life as they seamlessly juxtapose weighty alt rock tones and intricate indie intonations.

If It Matters is out now.
