Hard rock crew Lives Lost have unveiled their new EP, Home, out now on Life or Death Records.
The heavy quartet take listeners on an unflinching journey through the complexities of human emotion with the gripping new four-track.
Seamlessly juxtaposing the brutal and the beautiful into their soundscape, the new songs showcase the soaring melodies of Dayseeker and the raw intensity of Beartooth.
Lead vocalist Tanis Pellegrini shares: "Home is a collection of songs that explore the longing for stability, the search for belonging, and the ultimate discovery that "home" can be found in the love and connection we share with others. It's a project that's very close to our hearts, and we can't wait to share it with our dearest LOST ONES."
Formed in Hershey, PA, Lives Lost burst onto the scene post-pandemic, with a weighty hybrid of alternative rock and tenacious metalcore.
Nodding to the likes of Too Close To Touch and Nothing More, the quartet explore love, loss and the human experience, with social issues and the growing pains of life at the forefront of their introspective lyrical output.
Debut EP, 2023's A Portrait of Loss conceptualized these themes, taking listeners on a journey through the state of grieving, after the loss of a loved one. New collection, Home is a resonating set of tracks, as Lives Lost hone a pinpoint blend of thunderous instrumentation and compelling storytelling. Crushing percussion and riveting riffs feed a buoyant parlay of heavy and melodic.
From the deft clean/scream interplay on "Chin Up Kid" to the powerful riffs of "Numb The Pain"; the cascading, anthemic "Found" ft. Kellin Quinn and the pinpoint metalcore of "Salt The Wound", the EP will resonate with the listener both sonically and lyrically.
