San Francisco-located old-school-style garage rock ‘n’ roll band Very Paranoia play raw and raucous music straight from the gut.
Combining noise rock’s cacophony with old-school rock ‘n’ roll tunes, punk attitude, and garage rock recording, Very Paranoia throw it back to a time when unvarnished rock, free of slick studio production, preening, and pretense.
The band members are all music veterans from previous outfits Annihilation Time, Lecherous Gaze, Hot Lunch, and Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound.
Very Paranoia unleash their debut album, the self-titled Very Paranoia, digitally today at Bandcamp for Bandcamp Friday, and will launch the vinyl format on February 15th via Who Can You Trust? Records.

Cory Linstrum (vocals), Rob Alper (guitar, backing vocals), Chris Grande (bass), and Jefferson Marshall (drums) decamped to Midtown Island Studio in Tucson, Arizona to record the full length with Matt Rendon of the Resonars, and the ensuing 12 tracks were mastered by Tim Green at Louder Studios in California.
The band formed in 2018 and have released some singles and the Something Will Go Wrong EP this past 2020. They’ve also played a load of shows, opening for Zig Zags, The Dogs, Drunk Horse, Clean Room, Psychic Hit, and Witch (featuring J Mascis).
Very Paranoia is a rumbling, restless, razor-sharp, and rudimentary rampage filled with gravelly guitar grit to screeching, wiry riffs, lurching and swerving bass lines, and emphatically thumping drumwork and cymbals crash. Linstrum’s vocals are direct and exclaimed with fervor amid the vibrant and kinetic sonics.
