The Crucial Communism Teaching Act passed the house 327-62. It’s a law mandating that anti-Communism be taught in schools. The House can't agree on the color of the sky, but they can all agree that a redistribution of resources is evil. Even if you hate Communism, this should piss you off. What they're saying to us regular people is that we are supposed to suffer the indignities of Capitalism, and cheer it on.

Kamala Harris’s awful campaign refused to engage with material politics at all. Whenever Harris was asked about inflation or the cost of living, she would give a mealy-mouthed rambling about small businesses, as if somehow everyone could just start up a lucrative business, and do so without collapsing the labor market.

If everyone has a small business, who works at the businesses? Are we each supposed to be our own corporation? Imagine what a nightmare that would be. Every interaction is fully transactional so you can never have an honest moment with another human being.

Or is it that Democrats are fine with you not being able to afford eggs and they want you to blame yourself for their failings?

I’m not saying that entrepreneurship is inherently bad. If you want to start up a cooperatively owned hair salon, go for it. What I’m saying is that entrepreneurship is an insufficient response to the great pains of this new Gilded Age, where 39 million Americans live in poverty, while superyachts exist, and are owned by individual wealth hoarders.

Meanwhile, the fascist state of Israel gets everything they want from these fucking ghouls. They've given $17.9 billion to Israel in the past year, but they haven't manage to raise the
minimum wage in 15 years. The Democrats cheering Netanyahu when he was facing charges of genocide in the rest of the world is an image that will resonate throughout history. They’ve rubber stamped every death in Gaza, and they will never see any negative repercussions for that in their lives. They will never see their day in court for the over 100,000 dead and counting.
Cheer harder you fucking cretins.

Now it looks like the Democrats are planning on giving the Republicans everything they want in the coming years. They’ve already signaled they’re going to help take away your Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and food stamps. These Republicans are going to end democracy, they said. Donate to the DNC to save democracy, they said. And now they’re going to help the Republicans dismantle our last few scraps of support.

The charitable read is that they’re cowards. That’s the best case scenario. But what’s really going on is that they’re acting in their own class interest to crush the poor to dust, because that’s what’s profitable. Militarize the police, illegalize homelessness, turn privatized prisons into factories, and then you have a slavery class to keep the machine of capitalism running.

So yeah, they need to pass laws to force schools to teach anti-Communism, because Communism is beginning to look really fucking appealing to a lot of people (22% of millennials and 28%
of gen z); people who cheered the death of a healthcare CEO last week; people who are denied essential medicine for the sake of profits; people who are fed up with working their entire lives and having nothing to show for it.
