St. Louis punk band Fight Back Mountain unveils their intense new single “No Recourse” alongside the announcement of their third album, Death And The Miser.

St. Louis-based punk band Fight Back Mountain has dropped their latest single, “No Recourse,” (it appears on soundcloud only and will be officially released on December 19th) a furious anthem that takes aim at societal decay. The track delivers a potent dose of hardcore energy, encapsulating frustration with the state of the world. It’s the second preview of their upcoming album, Death And The Miser, set for release in February 2025.

The single channels a distinctly midwestern sense of disillusionment, a theme woven throughout the band’s music. On Death And The Miser, their third full-length album, Fight Back Mountain tackles the crumbling ideals many were raised to believe. Pre-orders for the vinyl and digital formats are now available.

Fans got their first taste of the album with “Trouble & Havoc,” released in November. That track leaned into melodic punk with hints of classic rock and power-pop influences. In contrast, “No Recourse” showcases the band’s harder-edged side, delivering raw intensity and urgency.

The new material was recorded with producer Gabe Usery at Encapsulated Studios, a collaborator who has worked with the band on their previous releases: Times Beach (2019), Lavender Sky (2021), and the Backslider EP (2023). The band’s current lineup includes vocalist/guitarist Adrian Barnello, lyricist/guitarist Anjelica Aquilino, bassist Andy Kohnen, and drummer Devin Dessieux. Together, they’ve crafted a sound that balances aggression with thoughtful storytelling.

Clocking in at just over two minutes, “Trouble & Havoc” blends driving basslines, sharp guitar riffs, and melodic hooks with gruff yet emotive vocals. The accompanying video, featuring cats exploring a cozy apartment, has added a playful charm to the song’s punchy energy. Fight Back Mountain continues to build momentum with each release, carving out a space in the punk scene for their blend of raw emotion and dynamic sound. With Death And The Miser on the horizon, they’re ready to take their unflinching perspective to new heights. Both “No Recourse” and “Trouble & Havoc” are streaming now, giving fans a powerful preview of what’s to come. Keep an eye out for more from Fight Back Mountain as the album release approaches.
