Christina Ward has been building an impressive indie folk catalog over the last few years and it continues with her new LP Calendar.

Christina Ward has been warming hearts and chilling spines with her brand of psychedelic and electronic infused folk. Although Wardplays many instruments from guitar to bass to banjo, her songwriting and vocal abilities are highlighted in her recent work as she takes us on a turn through a forest of drum machines, synthesizers, and effects to create a space that is intimate and immersive. Christina's music stands apart from many of her peers like a Phoebe Bridgers or Angel Olson because of a definite 90's influence and an almost dark gothy feel that she gives her songs. However they do feel very contemproary at the same time.

In her live performances, Ward is even more hypnotic, carrying the listener on a melodic path through a truly unique soundscape. Ward drops us unexpectedly into a meadow of virtuosic and textured guitar solos. Calendar, 7-songs written, produced, and recorded by Ward, chronicles her early formidable experiences. Ward's uncanny ability to weave adversity into an uplifting and triumphant sonic environment is unmatched. Recently at a show at Jersey City venue Pet Shop a packed crowd hung on the bands every note as Ward tried out the first full band incarnation of the project.

Today we are so happy to premiere "Tonight" the second track to premiere from the Calendar LP. Here's what Christina had to say about the track, "It’s about falling in love with someone and knowing it won’t ever really work out. But I think , as with everything I write, it’s a mix of things present and past. This one is about realizing a lesson I should have learned is coming around again full circle. It’s about the hope that maybe I’ll get it right one of these days…"

The single "Tonight" will be made available on all streaming services on Wednesday September 28th in advance of the October 21st release of the 'Calendar' EP.

Calendar will be available via Mint 400 Records on October 21st
