Go Betty Go returns with their new EP Black & Blue, blending energetic punk with the resilience and determination that has defined their journey.

Go Betty Go is back with new music, and their fans are in for a treat. The Los Angeles-based punk band is releasing their new EP, Black & Blue, on September 13 via Wiretap Records. This six-track collection promises to deliver the high-energy, guitar-driven sound that made them stand out in the early 2000s. Produced by Davey Warsop, known for his work with The Used and Face to Face, the EP features both new tracks and reworked fan favorites from the band’s earlier days.

As a preview of what's to come, Go Betty Go dropped their new single, "Party At Sea," on August 21. The track showcases the band’s signature blend of roaring guitar riffs, powerful vocals, and tight rhythm, making it clear that they haven’t lost any of their edge. The music video for "Party At Sea" is also out now and can be watched on YouTube.

The journey to Black & Blue wasn’t easy. The band started working on the EP during the pandemic, but their plans were derailed by guitarist Betty Cisneros’ cancer diagnosis in 2022. Despite this challenge, the band came together with determination, using their music as a way to push through the difficult times. Vocalist Nicolette Vilar shared that the EP reflects the struggles they faced, describing it as "full of grit and determination."

Black & Blue also marks a reunion of sorts, as it features contributions from former band member Emily Wynne-Hughes, aka Emily Valentine. Songs like "City Lights" and "Am I To Blame" were written years ago but have now been brought to life in this new release.

Go Betty Go first made waves in the LA punk scene in 2000 and quickly gained national attention with their energetic performances and strong songwriting. After a hiatus, the original lineup reunited and has been making music ever since. With Black & Blue, they continue to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with in the punk world.
