I mean, with Electric Frankenstein, you know what you’re getting right? These guys have been around since Jesus was growing chinny-chin hairs. Ubiquitous to every ‘90s garage comp on the planet, they’re still not reinventing the wheel here, but they also haven’t lost a lick of velocity or oomph over the past thirty years or so. Uber-confident, fast and swaggering garage rock, sounding like the Humpers and AC/DC got stitched together into some kind of mutant. The Stripp follows suit with a pair of songs that sound like they were culled from the Lunachicks playbook – lots of double bass and near-metal influences, still keeping that garage rock thread running throughout. Definitely a decent outing.
