Cheekface, the quirky indie trio from Los Angeles, is back with a new track titled "Flies," released today. Known for their deadpan wit and catchy rhythms, the band adds a twist with guest musician Jeff Rosenstock on baritone sax. Greg Katz, Cheekface’s vocalist and guitarist, explains, "This song is about living the dream in a room full of flies." Katz and bassist Amanda Tannen wrote the track together in their practice space, and as Katz points out, some of the lyrics were inspired by literal events, including a room full of flies and his inability to land a kickflip.

Cheekface’s new song comes right after a busy year for the band. Their fourth album, It’s Sorted, dropped in January, and the band just wrapped up a successful headlining U.S. tour. Fans of the band, who call themselves "Cheek Freaks," won’t be shocked by their fast turnaround. Drummer Mark "Echo" Edwards continues to bring high-energy beats that drive the group’s infectious sound.

The release of “Flies” is paired with a video directed by Baby Ponyfood, who previously worked with the band on the video for "Life in a Bag." The visuals for "Flies" add another layer to the song’s quirky charm.
