Now, the road-tested and battle-scarred power trio from Philadelphia, PA have made it to the punk rock promised land by getting the nod from Fat Wreck Chords. Out of the gate, their first full-length LP, "Keep Your Heart" delivers huge, punk pop hooks and chops. "Suture Self" is the perfect opening track for a musical journey sure to please. Along the way, "Sickening" tells a tale of drug tragedy without sounding pedestrian, and you'll also find a crisper version of "100K", a choice tune from their debut EP.
Keep Your Heart
The Loved Ones follow up their self-titled EP with "Keep Your Heart" and continue to express the never-die attitude oozing out of bands like Bouncing Souls and Paint it Black. Not surprisingly, singer/guitarist Dave Hause has deep ties with these bands. He is a former member of Paint it Black, slugged merch for Bouncing Souls and eventually became their stage manager. Feeding off the dedication and energy from the Souls and Paint it Black, Hause's raw passion and talent for music was encouraged by everyone around him. It was only a matter of time and persistence that Hause would have the chance to start his own band and rock with the big boys.
