Fair Panic’s Love Could EP marks a bold evolution for the band, blending sharp guitar work, orchestral elements, and deeply personal storytelling in their first original release since 2018.

Bloomfield, New Jersey’s Fair Panic is back with Love Could, their first original release since 2018’s Feels. The EP marks a clear evolution for the band, blending sharp guitar work, orchestral elements, and deeply personal songwriting. Led by vocalist and bassist Tory Anne Daines (Those Mockingbirds, Tabitha Booth) , the lineup also includes Aaron Rodriguez (guitar, beats), Patrick Heffernan (bass), and Angel Lozada (drums).

Fair Panic hinted at this shift with their recent covers of Cocteau Twins’ “Heaven or Las Vegas” and Missing Persons’ “Words,” but Love Could fully embraces their new approach. The EP delivers layered, emotionally resonant tracks shaped by years of growth and an unshakable commitment to reinvention.

The release is deeply personal, dedicated to the band’s late bassist and cellist, Dan Bindschedler. His presence remains in the music—his father, Jean Bindschedler, contributes cello on the title track, adding an extra layer of meaning. The EP also features collaborations with Brynen Sosa of Mythology on guitar and backing vocals from influencer Audra G. Johnson, known as The Wolf Girl. Behind the scenes, producer John Agnello (Alvvays, Dinosaur Jr.) helped shape the EP’s dynamic sound.

Looking ahead, Fair Panic has an ambitious year planned. With the Love Could EP setting the stage, they’re preparing for international touring, a new music video, and even a genre-bending cover song. A full-length album is also on the horizon.

Fair Panic stands out for their ability to merge technical skill with raw, unfiltered emotion. Their music doesn’t just push genre boundaries—it pulls listeners into an experience that is as intricate as it is heartfelt. With Love Could, the band proves that reinvention is not just possible, but necessary. "Love Could" has that unmistakeable New Jersey sound that is as if it's in the drinking water, a mix of indie rock, indie pop and 40 years of classic rock rolled into one great song.
