Bambies’ Snotty Angels looks like it will take their raw, punk energy to new heights with its infectious hooks and bold sound. “Devolution” perfectly captures the feeling of chaos in today’s world, making it a standout track for garage punk fans.

Montreal's punk trio Bambies are back with a jolt of high-energy music, prepping for the release of their second album, Snotty Angels, due out on September 27, 2024, through Spaghetty Town Records (US) and Wanda Records (Germany). The band's lineup, featuring Sami (guitar/vox), Franki (drums/backing vox), and Feli (bass/backing vox), delivers a raw, power-pop-infused punk sound that has been honed since their formation in 2014.

Their latest single, "Devolution," serves as the first taste of Snotty Angels. The track channels the confusion and chaos of modern life, painting a vivid picture of a world where things seem to be unraveling. With its garage-punk grit and unrelenting energy, “Devolution” sets the tone for what promises to be an electrifying follow-up to their debut album Summer Soon (2021).

Bambies started when Sami and Feli began jamming to home demos filled with doo-wop-inspired, fuzzed-out garage rock. Their sound solidified with the arrival of Franki on drums in 2015, adding speed and power to the mix. Together, the trio crafted a style that blends catchy punk melodies with a driving, bass-heavy undercurrent.

Their journey has included self-releasing a cassette and catching the attention of Jamie from Pale Lips, who helped release their first 7-inch, "Red Guitar," in 2019. After recording their debut album in Mexico City, Bambies faced the challenge of the global pandemic but kept momentum with live shows in Quebec and Ontario.

This time around, Snotty Angels was recorded over four days at Sud-Ouest Recording Service with Matt Damron at the helm. The album features 15 tracks, capturing the band's infectious energy, raw emotion, and unmistakable hooks. Fans of garage punk and power pop should mark their calendars for this exciting release.
