Jason Velázquez tripped and fell into journalism at a mid-sized daily in 2000, and, after founding the short-lived (but much loved) bilingual newspaper, La Perla News, serving Worcester County, Mass. One of the world's first Indie music podcasters, Velázquez launched his show, "The Mongrel's Howl," in early 2005. Then, in 2006, he moved, with his family to the middle of nowhere and had almost no access to high-speed internet (or really any internet) for almost a decade. Back in civilization in 2015, he started an online community news site, The Greylock Glass, but soon longed to be back behind the mic. The new Indie music podcast, INDIEcent Exposure, was born in mid-2015 and now helps keep him sane as he throws his life reporting on local news for an ungrateful public.
