Exclusive premiere of the striking single “Stray Rounds” from the Leicester, England-located indie rock trio.

The Leicester, England-based, indie rock trio We Three And The Death Rattle hits the target dead center with its new single “Stray Rounds”.  Amy Cooper (vocals) and brothers Jon (guitar, vocals) and Andy (drums) Bennett deliver a stark, menacing, but melodic take on post-punk indie rock that is influenced heavily by the blues and garage-rock genres.  They released their self-titled debut album in February 2014 and are ready to follow that up with a second full-length next year.  First single “Stray Rounds”, which comes out November 2nd on PAW//PURR, is a striking example of what to expect for We Three And The Death Rattle’s highly-anticipated sophomore release.

“Stray Rounds” opens with a cocky, strutting tempo filled with a massive, kicky drum beat and scintillating cymbal hits, then quickly moves forward with a gritty distorted guitar groove.  Amy stalks through the song with a cool, but alluring defiance, ominously describing “bloodhounds and black mornings” and stating in a tough, unfazed drawl that “I bleed red” on the verses.  The chorus sections knock out vigorous punches of restlessly pummeled drums, crisp cymbal hits, shaken percussion, and grimy guitar line grind while Amy, shadowed by Jon, declares dispassionately “Stray rounds / Storm warnings / You better duck and cover.”  It would be wise to heed her warning because We Three And The Death Rattle never misses the mark.
