Richmond, VA alternative rockers bring a palpable atmosphere with mesmerizing riffs on their gripping new single

East Coast alternative rock crew feedtherightwolf have dropped "Daydreamer", the title-track and second single from their upcoming EP.

The shoegaze influenced, post-grunge anthem announces Daydreamer, set for release on November 1st, 2024.

Track listing:

1. Smile, F*cker!

2. Deathstare

3. Daydreamer

4. Gethsemane

5. At Long Last

6. Hook, Line & Sinker

The new single reflects on the loss of youth, with our ability to dream dissipating as we become consumed with the harshness of day to day stress. The band's Rob Goff shares:

"The chorus line itself was a moment where I was driving with my young daughter in the car and the thought popped into mind. She was daydreaming and didn't have a care in the world at the same time I was rushing through traffic, surely thinking about the next work obligation or next bill to pay." Matt Phillips adds: "overall we thought thematically "Daydreamer" was such a great way to encapsulate everything from the geopolitical drama that is so front and center and what a distraction it has become, but more so the everyday experiences we all have with self imposed pressure to succeed  but also at its most granular level simply pay the bills, and really just those in the moment choices we make that effect our lives for better or worse. Simply put, the more we age and the more responsiblility we have, the more we lose sight of our dreams. Why?”

feedtherightwolf explore the width and breadth of post-grunge, with heavy undertones contrasting deftly with ambient, post-rock influenced guitars and a hauntingly moreish vocal.

From fan favorite "Alpha Uprising" to gritty, hard rock homage "Raining Glass", the quartet's debut, self-titled EP resonated with both depth and accessibility. The alt/rock grunge staples of the late 90's and early 00s are prevalent in feedtherightwolf's debut and indeed their latest work.

The throwback vibes are melted with nods to Basement, Thrice and Seahaven, adding a depth and intrigue to the band's new material. Following on from summer single "Deathstare", new output "Daydreamer" juxtaposes ambient shoegaze tones with gritty riffs as the band continues to mesmerize alternative rock fans ahead of their upcoming EP, Daydreamer.
