Written and performed by Monique Angele, “Be Alive” explores the raw experience of emotional numbness, isolation, and the powerful rediscovery of one’s inner fire. With haunting lyrics like “My mask hides what is deep within” and “I forgot how it feels to be alive,” the song reflects the universal battle between inner darkness and the fight to feel whole again.

“This song is about rising from emotional silence — confronting what’s hidden, and finally breathing again,” says Monique. “It’s deeply personal, but I know it speaks to what so many people feel.”

Backed by her virtuosic piano playing and cinematic soundscapes, “Be Alive” features Monique on vocals and piano, with Shawn Burgess on drums and multi-instrumentalist Sean O’Sullivan (Highway 9 Productions) providing additional instrumentation.

The track was produced and engineered by Sean O’Sullivan, and mastered by Joe Carra at Crystal Mastering, creating a sonically rich, emotionally impactful recording.
