SAD TO SEE YOU GO:
R.I.P. Johnny Ramone...
Our dear Ramones guitarist, the revolutionary Johnny Ramone (nee John Cummings) who ushered in a new age of guitar playing, died at age 55 in his sleep on Wednesday, September 15, 2004 from a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.
One by one it seems The Ramones are leaving this earth, but their legacy and influence on music as a whole shall live on eternally. Hopefully he - along with all the greats, Joey, Dee Dee, Stiv Bators, Johnny Thunders, Jerry Nolan, Sid Vicious, Joe Strummer, Arthur Kane, etc. have it better up there (or wherever they are now) than on this earth.
