New York metalcore outfit Ghosts of Hope have unveiled their new single "Sanctified".
The track is taken from the heavy crew's upcoming collection, From The Ashes of a Tethered Heart set for release on April 9th.
Channelling some of their hard rock and metalcore heroes of decades past, the young four-piece bring a fresh take, purveying a rousing, weighty sonic disposition, that will compel fans of cascading guitars and soaring choruses.
Speaking on their upcoming rookie collection, guitarist Bryan Goss shares: "This EP is, at its core, an honest representation of our lived experiences. Through this release we aim to connect with a diverse audience that finds solace in the expression of these experiences as well as to create a space that feels safe and inclusive for those who may feel underrepresented in heavy music.”
Formed in early 2023 in New York, metalcore crew Ghosts of Hope were united by a mutual love of the 2000s heavy scene. The emphatic instrumentation and huge choruses of the likes of Evanescence, The Plot in You and Underoath can be heard in the young quartet's output. But Ghosts of Hope imbue their own style onto the tried an tested sound, with progressive, atmospheric metalcore both familiar and unerringly contemporary.
Debut single “Downfall” was followed by the band’s duo of 2024 singles “Pyromania” and “Martyr” as Ghosts of Hope continued to develop a sonic signature equal parts dynamic and heart-on-sleeve.
The final stop on the road to debut EP From The Ashes of a Tethered Heart is the dazzling "Sanctified". The track hones influence from across the bounds of alternative rock and heavy, with thundering guitars, a deft interplay of heavy and melodic and an electronic-infused delivery. Indeed, the moniker Ghosts of Hope is a clue to the young quartet’s atmospheric, ethereal output.
Despite their mere two years as a band, Ghosts of Hope have honed a fluid metalcore sound, one that impresses technically, but also captures the lister with it’s storytelling. Themes of mental health struggles, the complexity of relationships and substance abuse ensures candid, raw storytelling cuts through the spacious sonic stylings. In return, the band asks just one thing. Keep believing in Ghosts.
