Faith No More, who play their final 2015 show on Oct. 25 at the Aftershock Festival, debut the colorful video for “Sunny Side Up”.
The clip, which was directed by filmmaker Joe Lynch (The Movie Crypt podcast, and films Everly and Knights of Badassdom), arrives as the band wraps up a whirlwind year.
Sol Invictus (Reclamation Recordings/Ipecac Recordings), Faith No More’s first new album since 1997’s Album of the Year, arrived in May, debuting at #6 on the Billboard Top Albums chart and landing at similar spots worldwide (including #2 in Australia, #4 in Germany and #6 in the UK). The months surrounding release found the band headlining a number of festivals including Sonisphere, Download, Riot Fest, Bumbershoot and Rock in Rio. Returning to late night television for the first time since the mid ‘90s, Faith No More took the stage on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Last Call with Carson Daly.
Rolling Stone called the album “as much a triumphant victory lap as it’s a comeback record, The New York times said the new album found the Bay Area band “reunited and reclaiming its spot” and the Los Angeles Times said “Faith No More has a history of defying expectations, and that’s what it’s doing again with Sol Invictus.”
