These guys came out guns blazing in '82 with the Dirty Rotten EP churning through 22 songs in 18 minutes. The songs were short, fast and cut through the bullshit. It was just what was needed at the time to counter a bloated and stale stadium rock scene. In those first few years D.R.I. cranked out so many classics. These kids from Texas relocated to the bay area and proceeded to shape the early thrash scene along with contemporaries like Corrosion of Conformity, Suicidal Tendencies and Cryptic Slaughter in the mid 80's. I hope Kurt and Spike pack the set list with tunes from the Violent Pacification EP, Dirty Rotten LP and most of all the thrash classic "Dealing With It".
