The Paul Green School of Rock, the famous after-school rock program that was the subject of both the documentary Rock School and the Jack Black comedy School of Rock, has announced its first annual festival, taking place in Asbury Park, New Jersey June 23 and 24. Drawing artists like the Bad Brains, Ween and the Bouncing Souls, the school will also put forth its best pupils in the School Of Rock All-Stars, which will include Vernon Reid and the Doobie Brothers' Jeff "Skunk" Baxter.
Now expanded to 30 schools nationwide, the Philadelphia-based program will host student-bands from 15 of those cities at the festival. For the entire lineup, check out the fest's website.
