Mountaris is a doomgaze/post-metal band from a quiet southern Australian town that formed in 2014. Mountaris roughly translates as 'of the mountain'. Reflecting the diverse natural aesthetic of the southernmost continent, Mountaris' sound is epic and journey-like. Oceanic melodies rise above cascading drums and thunderous riffs creating aural landscapes that are bold, ethereal ,and often unexpected - and intended for the musically adventurous. The band's debut EP Desolate recently got its release through Transcending Records and Rebel Noise premieres the EP in full here:
