The Vegas heavy crew get technical and personal on their first full-length, out now on Manic Kat Records

Annelida have unveiled their gripping and fractious debut LP, Garage Honey & The Bar Fly Mutiny.

The technically weighted, high-octane collection marks the Nevada outfit's first release on Manic Kat Records, with the tracks nodding to deathcore and progressive metal influence, perforated by jagged mathcore guitars.

Lead vocalist Kevin Thomas explains: "'Garage Honey and The Bar Fly Mutiny' is almost a rebirth of the band without us ever going away. We started as a quarantine project that grew to be something much bigger than I ever expected. I wrote and recorded a lot of this album between tours in 2023."

Unwrapping what sets the new material apart, Thomas continues: "Pretty early on in the writing process I really started leaning into these harsh sounds and going after the feeling of "uneasy and anxious" while writing very personal and storytelling lyrics, something I avoided with the last EP. I told my bandmates very early on "I want the inside of your skull to itch when you listen to us". I hope I got that".

Las Vegas metalcore trio Annelida announced their arrival with the release of Lord Leech in January 2022, led by dynamic lead single "Bare Bones".

Conveying a brutal assault on the senses with riveting riffs and thunderous percussion, the band draws on influence from across the width and breadth of heavy, for a sound that carries a perennial intensity.

In their first two years, the Sin City trio picked up a weight of attention across Nevada and beyond, touring the Midwest and West Coast as their resonating live show led them into new territory.

Picking up notable acclaim from Rock Sound, Decibel Magazine, Outburn and Idobi Howl, Annelida have scored plaudits globally, and their signing to Manic Kat Records signalled a new chapter for the band's trajectory.

Annelida's sonic progression has mirrored this evolution, with new full-length Garage Honey & The Bar Fly Mutiny coming as their most ambitious work to date. The progressive, math-leaning riffs intertwine with thunderous drums for a frenetic collection of tracks. Kevin Thomas' vocal offers a visceral narration, compelling in it's dexterity and unwaveringly candid.

Even amidst its most brutal moments, Garage Honey & The Bar Fly Mutiny retains an accessibility and intrigue that will blast you into oblivion, but leave you coming back for more.
