The Seattle pop punks struck big in the 00s with two MySpace era hit records

If you had MySpace in the early-mid 00s or caught a Vans Warped Tour in your nearest city, it's likely you came across pop-punk crew Amber Pacific.

Having burst onto the scene with The Possibility & The Promise, almost two decades ago, the West Coast outfit have unveiled their first new single in over three years, with "Young & Reckless".

The new single announces the much anticipated return of the Seattle outfit, with Amber Pacific also finding their new label home on Manic Kat Records.

Guitarist and vocalist Will Nutter shares: "We're beyond thrilled to finally share our first single, Young and Reckless. This is a new chapter for AP and we feel like we're on the edge of something incredible after spending months in Nashville with Sean Rogers and his team. Signing with Manic Kat Records has opened up so many possibilities and the future feels wide open with potential. We're excited to see where this journey takes us and we're so grateful for the continued support from all of our fans around the world over the last 20 years. This is just the start and there's so much more to come."

Having sold over 200,000 albums globally, picking up 10s of millions of streams in the process, Amber Pacific became synonymous with a blossoming pop-punk scene in the mid-00s.

The band's much lauded debut full-length dropped in 2005 on Hopeless Records, with The Possibility & The Promise setting Amber Pacific on a trajectory that took them from MySpace darlings to one of the scene's leading lights.

Including hit singles "Gone So Young" & "Always You (Good Times)" the LP united the emo-laced melodies and enticing pop hooks that defined a generation, with Amber Pacific putting themselves into the mix with the swathe of the genre's most talked about bands alongside the likes of The Academy is..., Hit The Lights and Yellowcard.

Their 2007 follow up Truth in Sincerity hit #64 on the Billboard 200, cementing the Pacific Northwest quintet's status as a bonafide player, during what many consider to be the genre's headiest era.

Line-up changes and geographic limitations would see many changes to the fabric of the band over the coming years, but the heart of Amber Pacific remained.

The band would become mainstays on the era defining Vans Warped Tour. Throw into the mix heavy MTV coverage, a viral MySpace following and a spot on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack and it's no surprise the rockers broke into the hearts and minds of the mainstream,

Now, 10 years since their last album Turn and three since their last single, the band are back with a bang. New single "Young & Reckless" is a buoyant and fist bumping return to form for Amber Pacific, as they turn the page to a new chapter.

The vibrant singalongs and heart-on-sleeve lyricism are still front and center, but the band sound refreshed, re-energized by the punctuative urgency of their pop-punk contemporaries, as they reminisce on being "Young & Reckless".
